Also an illustrator and author/illustrator of picture books, Nolan's publishers include Dial, Disney, Dutton, Harcourt Brace, Little Brown, Macmillan, Philomel, Simon & Schuster and Viking.
Nolan has received many awards including New Yorker and Newsweek Best Books of the Season, SCBWI Honor Book, SCBWI Golden Kite Best Book Award, Spectrum Best of Fantasy Art Silver Award and ARC Salon First Place Drawing.
His books have been featured on HBO, Good Morning America, and CNN. And, Nolan was commissioned to paint a portrait of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Nolan's exhibitions of work include Eric Carle Museum, Mazza Collection, University of Hawaii, National Sculpture Society and Society of Illustrators.
