The curriculum has successfully bridged the realities of work, life, imagination and business in a way that brings hope, fulfillment and a vision for the future of Illustration. The philosophical cornerstone laid out for the illustration program by Murray Tinkelman is a program for professionals taught by professionals.”

David M. Brinley, Class of 2010
Newark, DE

This unique program brings students into the classroom with the best in the illustration field. Whether it is the visiting faculty on the University of Hartford campus, or the access we provide to the many professionals and studios we visit across the nation, students are exposed to an in-depth look at the illustration field.

Below you will see a list of some of the faculty who have spent time in our classrooms – sharing experiences, critiquing work, imparting their professional wisdom, and at times – picking up a pencil, brush, or paints to draw alongside our students.

There is simply no other environment so rich in the creative energy that is generated by such a brilliantly talented illustration faculty working with such an eager and receptive group of illustrators. These are world class and award winning professionals who will inspire, enlighten, and assist you as you explore areas you never thought you would or could in your professional career.
